Retrospective on 2012
I typically end up writing, or forgetting to write, a brief year-end analysis of the year at the end of December. Typically it goes something like "Wah! Wah! Woe is me, this year has been awful, I hope the next one is better."
But this has been an amazing year and I want another one just like it. To our children and their children: Sorry about the fiscal cliff ordeal. The first priority of government is to protect the government. One could argue that a government that fails to serve its people is in violation of its social contract and is liable to be replaced.
