Blue and Green

I was having a rough day at work today. Long hours and some painful experiences, but now the fires are out and I look like a fucking rockstar in the eyes of both Old Boss and New Boss. Still, I was feeling kinda down. I can tell when I'm feeling bluer than usual because I'll start listening to songs I keep in an old folder I have titled "hurt mix 2".

I'm feeling down, and then Monk turns it all around with a bowl of his buffalo chili and a Red Hook Copper Hook Ale. And Stef, when she's not making classic hot crossed buns, apparently has located the source of the most delicious avocados known to mankind. This thing is so fucking delicious I can't stop thinking about it. Soft, creamy, sweet, everything you could want in a lover.

And I tell you, this avocado is so good, I'm a little bit tempted.

Well, the very best avacados come from California, which you're substantially closer to than I am. I can only imagine how good they are fresh instead of when they've been sitting in a truck for five days. Florida avacados are tempting because they're like three times bigger for usually about the same price, but they've got very little flavor.

Just wait for strawberry season - sure California pumps out tons of the giant plump varieties, but Oregon strawberries are known for their almost unnatural sweetness despite their small size. You're in for a treat.
