Home Safely

Landed at 9:34 local time and spent at least 20 minutes waiting to deplane. Monk and Stef immediately carried me to a great little restaurant for a burger and a pale ale. The waiter saw my book on the table and asked who was reading House of Leaves. I told him I had my first panic attack last night.

I think I'm going to like it here.

Tomorrow is going to be full of first-day moving activities: calling the movers to ask where the hell my stuff is, swinging by the public library, and filing a complaint with FedEx asking for a refund plus damages for trashing the answering machine that contained the voicemail my mom left four years ago telling me that my father was dead.

Fuck those guys.

Speaking of fucking those guys, it rips my guts out to read lies and deceit like this. I think I'm going to have to localhost that domain in my /etc/hosts file for my own well being.

I'm just sick of being lied to and having her promiscuity archived by Google for all to see and optionally thrown into my face.

I've updated my Blogger settings, so it believes it's 12:36 AM, but in reality, it's almost 4 AM in God's timezone.

I'm going to rinse the bad taste of a failed 8-year relationship out of my mouth and use the brand new day tomorrow to get started on a brand new life.

I think I'm going to like it here.

If it means anything to have a stranger's blessing, I hope that things work out for you on your new start.
