Bad Book Covers

Courtesy of Froggy comes a list of atrocious book covers.

Having spent more than my fair share of time in used book stores growing up, I can actually identify a few of these and I can in fact confirm that God Emperor of Dune did in fact have a cover of a guy partially infused with a worm on it and it was trippy and devoid of rationality.

The kicker is that I actually own a copy of The Darkangel and I can attest that the reason the cover looks so nutty is that it's a literal interpretation of a fusion of scenes that actually happen in the book. The artist was most likely instructed to paint a dude in a toga with black-feathered wings, a girl passed out, and some exotic animals hanging around. Well, he did his job.
