Where's Toby?
It occurred to me after a late-night phone conversation with my friend Dan that I neglected to mention something on my blog that's very big and important.
I quit my job. Three months ago. Hopefully, this will explain the sudden and severe drop-off in my posts since March.
Most people have figured this out by now, but by no means all, and if you weren't one of the ones who found out post haste, I apologize. It wasn't like there was a big announcement or anything of that sort. I pretty much just stopped working at one place one Saturday and started at another place the following Monday.
There's a whole big post I've written for imminent posting here on my thoughts on this topic. Also slated under the "imminent posting" category: entries explaining why Flock of Seagulls will be the most enduring band in history (it's the timeless appeal of hair spray), who I think will win the first season of Survivor (that Richard Hatch character is as good as gone), and six reasons why no one will ever want to own an iPod (those things will need to get smaller first — nano-sized, if you will).
So, to sum up, I've got a new place where I make my morning cuppa tea, and I have a dramatically smaller number of people calling me to help them reboot their workstations.
