My Friday So Far
My Friday so far:
- Wake up, 10:25 AM.
- Read feeds. Try to gather up the energy to start the day.
- 11:20, decide to head out (after putting some podcasts on my iRiver to keep me company)
- 11:25, wonder why Windows XP isn't recognizing my iRiver in "My Computer". Start debugging the problem.
- 11:45, Windows XP doesn't recognize my iRiver or my Sony USB Micro Vault. iBook still works fine. Start running the Troubleshooter in a cold sweat.
- 11:55, XP has zonked something in its registry (it won't specify what). Uninstalling and reinstalling each USB device resolves the problem.
- 11:59, the podcasts are loaded and I'm out the door.
- Library. I try to make it quick and only window shop for ten minutes.
- ATM. Why deposit $120 in cash on Tuesday only to make a cash withdrawal on Friday? Because I'm paranoid like that.
- Haircut. I've been trying to get one for three weeks. First it was December 23, the day before Erica and I left for our PA trip, and secondly I didn't want to give my stoner barber a Christmas bonus. A week later he was out of the shop so his partner was totally booked solid. This week he's still gone, but the place is virtually empty and I ended up getting through precisely one-half of a paragraph of the first question in August 2005's Playboy Advisor column before he was ready for me.
- Home. Chai. I notice that Sunbird 0.3-alpha1 installs in the time it takes Trillian to load. Erica makes me lunch and I psychologically prep for my blood donation this afternoon.
- Debate showering.
- Blog this.
- Erica points out the Firefly marathon on Sci-Fi Channel! Woo!
