VH1 Classic: Why Are You Doing This to Me?
I wondered why suddenly VH1 Classic's All Request Hour sucked so badly. Turns out that they're doing "Pay to Play All Request Hours". A lot of them. Individual viewers are paying some quantity of money to pick an hour of vintage videos. The profits of this asinine endeavor go to some sort of hurricane relief charity, so I guess I'll have to just pretend like I don't mind listening to long blocks of Bauhaus, Bill Withers, and the Black Crowes. Christ almighty, it's like this hour's sponsor (Tricia Cooper of Columbus, OH) just went through her MP3 folder and picked all the B's. You whore!

I don't know how you missed this. They advertised for these blocks for like a month and a half. Personally, I thought it was a total ripoff, the amount of time you get vs. the amount of money you have to donate.
