The Signal - Fantasy Firefly

Popular Firefly-themed podcast The Signal is on hiatus until 2006, but you can't keep a rabid fan down. They've gone into overdrive to churn out, to date, eleven Fantasy Firefly episodes since going on break. They are not always hits, but at about 4 to 5 minutes each, it's not a significant investment of time for such a small payoff.

If, for instance, the episode revolves around dicking with Serenity RPG contributor Tracy Hickman, you'll probably want to put a bullet through your head rather than listen to one more instance of the dry, scripted speech: "Oh, I didn't.... Er. Um. Uh." If you can remember Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka half-heartedly sighing "No. Don't. Come back." each time one of those awful little children did something stupid, you get the idea of how bad the acting in Fantasy Firefly #11 is.

But I had to hear it just once because it gets points for having the title "Done the Moderately Difficult". To wit: "We have done the moderately difficult, and that makes us...sort of OK." Hilarious.
