Comic book nerds take note: yesterday marked the 20th anniversary of the events taking place in Watchmen #1. The Comedian was murdered 20 years ago last night, and today equates to the day that Rorschach began his investigation into it.

It's amazing to think that just 20 years is enough to so radically reenvision the state of the world today that U. S.-Russian relations are practically perfunctory anymore. "Day After", indeed. Praise be to St. Alan, for ever and ever. Hurm.
