DigitalLifeTV
Remember when I said "All Hail Patrick Norton" yesterday? I meant it. Patrick gets a paycheck these days for doing DigitalLifeTV, a live, streaming TV-like Internet videocast on Tuesdays at 6 PM Pacific. Afterwards, WMV, Quicktime, and MPEG4 versions are put on the website for archival purposes.
I've been watching it since episode 4 or 5, and it's kind of nice. It's mostly Patrick doing the exact same kinds of segments he did when he was on The Screen Savers, and he even has TSS's Robert Heron as a co-host.
If you're not sure if DigitalLifeTV is for you, take a look at tonight's schedule:
- Roll your own NAS (that's Network Attached Storage) box.
- Lance Ulanoff on robots: VEX, DARPA and the Grand Challenge.
- Ripping vinyl to MP3.
- BitPim… a nifty tool for getting data in and out of your cell phone.
Two of those are really interesting to me. I'll leave you to guess which two.
