Completely Made Up Doctor Who Rumor
While on set, David Tennant, the actor dubbed to play the tenth iteration of the famous Time Lord, passed out from the sudden realization that he wasn't Christopher Eccleston, the actor who portrayed the previous Ninth Doctor and helmed the program's triumphant return to the airwaves.
"It was between takes and David [Tennant] just started talking to himself," reports costar Billie Piper. "'I'm not Christopher Eccleston. I can't tupping believe I'm not Christopher Eccleston,' he said. Then he dropped." Piper is seen here carrying an unconscious Tennant to the TARDIS with the help of Noel Clarke. Clarke noted "Yeah. I mean, so he's not Christopher Eccleston. But no one is, you know? OK, well, aside from Christopher, that is. There's still a chance the show won't suck. We're all hoping and praying."
Fans of the show are hoping that the plot of the in-production Christmas special will involve Tennant's Doctor drinking some sort of reversal potion that brings Eccleston back for ever and ever. An online petition supporting this has been started. Interested parties are encouraged to send mail to davidt@mailbx.bbc.co.uk.
