Something to be Proud of

Hometowns need heroes. Springfield, Illinois will never ignore its favorite son: a gunshot wound victim you might remember as President Abraham Lincoln. In lieu of heroes, most places just settle on something historic. In Johnstown, Pennsylvania, they just won't shut up about that fucking flood.

And then we come to my hometown (or one of them, at any rate). Clearfield, PA. Most of you people probably couldn't find this place on a map with Google to help you out. Me? I practically lived there until I was seventeen because it was the closet place that had a decent shopping mall. I emphasize the word "had".

Anyway, I'm glad Clearfield is finally in the papers for its ongoing burger war. And let me tell you, friends, this is exactly the kind of thing I would expect Clearfield to go to war about. So hats off to Denny's Beer Barrel Pub for keeping the obscene amounts of meat grillin'.
