Urge to Merge

I did not know this was in the works, but apparently Microsoft is buying Groove. This is good for Groove, and may be good for people who want Groove technology but didn't like Groove's methods of licensing.

This may be bad for people who wanted Groove, but didn't want any licensing whatsoever.

In either case, I will be curious to know what Robert X. Cringely has to say about the matter, as I'm certain this interests him far more than it interests you or me.
