Save Time with Gross Generalizations

Important time-saving tip: When looking for an old commodity Pentium PC with a certain feature in the BIOS, ask your local sysadmin to find such a system for you. When the sysadmin gives you a system he is reasonably certain has the feature you need, boot the system, check the year stated on the POST screen, then summarily dismiss the BIOS as being "too old" before giving it back to him. Never actually check the BIOS to see if the feature you desire is there or not. That would be crazy.
