Things Left to Run

I regularly leave my BeOS system on and running, with an instance of CL-Amp ready to go in case I feel like listening to music that isn't streaming from the Internet.

Today, I noticed that I apparently left CL-Amp playing, and on repeat. So my earbuds had been playing David Byrne's "Miss America" over and over again.

Since Thursday or Friday. Now it's after 2 PM on the following Monday, and I kind of feel bad for wasting the sound.

In other news, they're finally indicting Pinochet. And in Chilé, there was much rejoicing. Now remember: these are the same people who protested U.S. occupation of Iraq to depose Saddam Hussein. Hypocrisy, anyone? I'm sure the people of Chilé think it's all well and good that Pinochet finally gets a trial some 15 years after leaving power and fleeing to, if I recall correctly, France. For a time, there was much speculation as to whether or not he was physically fit to stand trial. Does Iraq deserve any less? Some Chiléans appear to think so.

These people are bastards.

All I have to say on the matter is that evil men require legal action, wherever they may be. We're the United States. We police the world. Now let us do the job that we have been mandated by lesser nations to execute to the best of our ability.
