Update on the Broken VelociRaptor

An update on the piece-of-junk Western Digital VelociRaptor I bought four months ago:

SpinRite was able to repair enough of the damage in the foremost sectors of the disk to make repair of the MBR via the Vista installation DVD possible, which was a total surprise to me that it even worked.

I was able to get the system to boot to my Desktop, and aside from the fact that most right-click operations take minutes to complete, the systems has the appearance of being fully functional.

I began robocopying anything that wasn't nailed down immediately. I had most of everything of significance already stored on the Drobo, but not everything.
