My Caulk
Ever since I've had the house to myself, I've been looking forward to playing with my caulk. When I first got here last year and went into my bathroom, I immediately noticed that my caulk looked ugly. I didn't want people coming in to use my bathroom and seeing how unattractive my caulk looked, but I didn't get around to actually trying to fix it until last night.
So I came home early from work and immediately set about working on my caulk with all sorts of improvised tools I had laying around. Of course, once I'd gotten all of my caulk out, it was time to put some fresh caulk in there.
Now I'm not stupid. I have my own caulk. I've had it for ages. But I haven't used my caulk since I was in Cleveland, and wouldn't you know it, it's gotten soft and spongy on me. I can't use a spongy caulk. So I had to hit the streets with a mission: I was looking for fresh caulk.
You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find caulk in downtown Redmond at 8:30 on a Friday night. I came up empty-handed. But at least I now know where I can find spackle in a pinch.
So this morning I woke up before noon just to make a trip to Home Depot and track down a guy who knows his caulk. There were a couple different kinds of caulk to choose from scattered around the store. I prefer white caulk. I was finally able to get a fresh caulk and bring it home with me so I could finish the job, squirting sticky white paste all over the corners and edges of my bathtub. I have to wait a while before I can use it again, so to hasten the process I'm ventilating the upstairs and I've got an oscillating fan set to high that's pointed directly at my caulk. I can't wait until it gets hard.
Genitals.
