Austrian man decides to kidnap his own daughter, imprison her in a secret soundproof subbasement of his home, and fathers seven children with her while his wife remains totally ignorant of everything. This transpires over the course of twenty-four years.

By comparison, this makes Flowers in the Attic look about as sinister as The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

And yes, I was very slightly tempted to work Hop on Pop into this post somehow, but even I have my limits.
