On Instant Messaging

A few of you may have already gathered that I haven't been "online" in a few weeks. By this, I mean I haven't been on MSN, AIM, ICQ, or any of the other instant messaging services that I have occupied since first getting dial-up internet access in high school.

This is by design. I haven't installed any such software on my machine since reinstalling Vista. I don't intend to do so.

Instant messaging has been fun and all, but I use Office Communicator 2007 at work, and I don't really find myself free to have chats with anybody throughout the evening anymore. So far, I really don't miss it. I'm still available for contact by other means, but I think my AIM days will be few and far between for a while.
