Correspondence
I started archiving my e-mail around 2003. Records from that far back are hard to come by, so I can't really reliably find a lot of mail from before 2005 unless I really go digging for it.
And after listening to the most recent Geologic Podcast, #32, and hearing the story of how George's mom spent 4 years writing back and forth with the man she would ultimately marry, I kind of regret not having a lifetime of correspondence to reflect back upon.
That's always the sort of thing you keep in a box in the attic and you go through it in your autumn years. Me? I have an incomplete tarball. Not quite the same thing.
Right now I think that scrolling through old e-mail is just going to be too painful, but in ten or twenty years the situation will be different. Or at least it would be if I had anything to reflect back upon.
