On Deadlines

Had a deadline today. Worked late last night, but not too late, due partly to reaching an impasse and due partly to that voice in the back of your head that says "Fuck it, let's go get some dinner and a beer."

Little did I know that our deadline would be cancelled the following morning. Glad I didn't stay as late as I was thinking I should have stayed.
