Not the podcast, but actual talk about FOX network executive clusterfuck victim Firefly gets me hot and bothered.

Overcompensating: Actual Things That Happen to Jeffrey Rowland: Humping Hot: "The reason Firefly got cancelled was because of that stupid theme song. We played Europe's 'The Final Countdown' over the opening credits and it syncs up exactly."

I will have to try this sometime. Of course, everybody complains about that song, but it explains a lot of who the character of Mal Reynolds is, and from what Joss has mentioned about his plans for the rest of the series had it not been cancelled after a handful of episodes, it was a taste of a lot more of his character as well.
