System Administrator Appreciation Day

Today is System Administrator Appreciation Day, and I celebrated by listening to podcasts. My favorite gem this year is a parody of those beer commercials:

Technorama presents "Real Geeks of Genius".
(Real geeeks of geeee-nius!)

Today we salute you, Mister Network System Administrator Guy.
(Mister Network System Administrator Guy!)

Thanks for helping users do battle with day-to-day forces that delete files or create viruses, and securing our networks to keep the baddies out.
(Waaatch out for that hacker!)

What would we do with all of those bluescreens?
(Control-Alt-Delete!)

When most other people are out taking in a movie or having dinner with others, you're there, climbing under desks and into ceilings pulling countless cables.

For routing packets that needed routing and keeping the Internet up.
(Got to have my porn!)

For dealing with office politics when it comes to network policy.

The only day you take off is when a Star Wars movie is released.
(In a galaxy far, far aa-wa-yay!)

Today, we toast you with this Jolt, Mister System Network Administrator Guy.
