If anyone ever asks you "What's the name of the motorcycle cop from the original Silent Hill game?" you can look them right in the eye and say "It's Cybil Bennett."

She wears tight, shiny pants and gives you a firearm in the first five minutes of the game, so she's OK in my book.

A completely unsubstantiated rumor courtesy of the Internet states that her last name, "Bennett", is a variation on "Bambenek", which is a direct reference to Bambi Bambenek, the real-life cop and killer who became the subject of the famous novel Run, Bambi, Run.
