Why I Like Scott Adams

If you read his blog, Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams is a perfectly normal bazillionaire: he has medical issues, can't figure out what gifts to give his girlfriend, and stays relatively humble despite a far greater number of awkward social situations than you or I.

That last one is usually because people will see him and, realizing that he's a popular cartoonist, decide that he's not a real person but rather a spectacle, a carnival ride to be ridden. People will say things to celebrities or ask for things that, were they not celebrities, would result in a quick glance towards the nearest security guard or escape route.

I like Scott Adams. His blog is full of what I'd be thinking if I were rich and famous. A nice idea from Scott in today's post is a good phrase for a bumper sticker: "I'd love to help you, but you'd just find some other dumb ass way to shoot yourself in the foot."
