Penny Arcade! - I Have The Power

What I think I enjoy most about Penny Arcade's recent strip titled I Have The Power isn't that it's a He-Man joke. It isn't that it's about wikis having no real quality control. It isn't even that Skeletor, the biggest and baddest Big Bad of the He-Man mythos is sitting at a computer talkin' smack about his rival.

It's that Gabe and Tycho, a.k.a Mike and Jerry, have enough wherewithal to put Skeletor into ink as perfectly as one could ever hope for. Sure, you might think that you can take any blue-skinned, purple hood-wearing skull monster and call it Skeletor.

And largely, you'd be right. But only the truest of fans would think enough to include Skeletor's trusty ram's-head staff. That's dedication. That's a fanboy level of attention to detail. That's what makes Penny Arcade artistic, as opposed to just a pretty-looking way to work the word "fuck" into a conversation about Splinter Cell.
