Asterisk@home Handbook Wiki - voip-info.org
Being responsible for, among about 30 other things, my building's PBX telephone switch means that I naturally take interest in things like Asterisk, the Linux-based PBX software project.
But Toby, you say, PBX switch administration is hard work.
Damn skippy it is. That, along with "no budget to buy an old PIII or VOIP hardware", are the two reasons why I haven't flipped SBC the bird and gotten myself some kind of homebrew Vonage-style deal going.
Should the day ever arise that I get some fundage and some free time, I think I shall refer to the Asterisk@home Handbook Wiki for a complete PBX installation/configuration for cheap.
