You waste a lot of time at work trying to understand idiots according to this post at 43 Folders: "65% of the respondents spend from 1-3 hours per day reading and writing emails, with 40% 'wasting' 30 minutes to 3 hours reading 'ineffectively' written emails."

For some reason he still works here. For some reason he still gets promotions. He's a politician. And he has to be: he has to compensate for his shitty language skills. Since he doesn't communicate well, he has to communicate constantly, and just hope that enough of his low-grade signal gets picked up. Then he goes around, shaking hands and smiling. He synergizes. He actions items. He leverages. He nods politely when you talk to him. It would help if he didn't stare off into space when he did it, patiently waiting for you to stop talking so he can start.
Sometimes, I just don't understand business. Where's the meritocracy? For that matter, where's the goddamn dictionary?
