Gelf Magazine: Winging It
The hour-long Britcom Green Wing gets a writeup in a magazine I've never heard of! Read the full article online. Here's a choice quote that, because I picked it, naturally is about my favorite character: "Sue White (Michelle Gomez) plays the aloof staff-liaison officer whose idea of counseling includes, 'Well, it seems to me you're under a lot of stress. If you stopped being stressed, things really would be a lot easier for you,' or 'Take this book on dealing with difficult people and fuck off!'"
But remember, it's all said in a Scottish accent. A hot Scottish accent. And that's just when she's talking to people who don't turn her on. Her psychotic crush on Dr. Macartney is at once a mix of schoolgirl infatuation and sinister depravity. In one episode, she cuts off a lock of his hair to smell — and then put in her underwear. In another, she offers to kill a senior surgeon so Mac can be promoted to the new vacancy.
And she is frequently seen with a living, breathing camel of unspecified origin. How cool is that?
