Techno Music: The Chicken or the Egg

I'd like to see a study that answers a question I have about techno music: which is more relaxing: Chillout or Deep House?

Both are available for free courtesy of Digitally Imported, and listening to each is very soothing. I just wonder which is optimally soothing. Perhaps the best is a Deep House mix that becomes Chillout. I'm sure some raver somewhere has analyzed this problem, but I'd rather get my data from men in white lab coats.
