Here's another good term, courtesy of Frankie Can't Relax.

"Dish jenga: This involves extracting the utensil/plate I need to make my next meal from the leaning tower of dirty dishes dominating my sink at the moment. Said item is washed, used, and returned to the top of the pile. The game continues until the entire pile of dirty dishes crashes down in a heap of shattered ceramic and food sludge, forcing a mandatory Target outing to replace the entire set."

I play this game on Fridays when I pretend like I know how to make breakfast.
