Thy Name Is Nerdy
Took my resume. Broke it into numerically-ordered sections. Wrote a makefile to automatically generate a resume tailored to a small set of command-line options. I can, for example, produce a resume specifically intended for a Cleveland position cleanly viewable in Notepad by typing "make cleveland dos". Or I could type "make seattle unix". I could easily expand this to allow "make cleveland sysadmin dos" or "make seattle pbx dos". My options are nigh endless.
Newest addition on the @Someday/Maybe list? A script (in a language as yet undetermined) to perform the same thing cross-platform without a need for a Makefile. I'm thinking I need to incorporate XML because it's all the rage. First action in doing this? Learn what XML is.
