Codeville on OS X Tiger

I have more or less succeeded in getting Codeville-0.1.13 running on my iBook. I just wish I could remember how I did it, or more specifically, I wish I knew why what I did worked.

Allegedly, poll() is broken on Tiger. This was announced during the first release, 10.4.0, and may have been fixed by the time 10.4.2 rolled around. I don't know and, at the moment, I don't care. select() will do just nicely, thankyouverymuch.

Also, I ended up symlinking the cdv* files from /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/bin/ to /usr/local/bin. Call me old-fashioned, but that's where most of my software belongs.

Still no luck importing my old repositories. I'm starting to get a little worried.
