According to the Internet
It appears as though my new flat-panel monitor has been delivered. Packages in my building are all delivered to the leasing office. The leasing office closes promptly at 6 PM, and occasionally earlier than that. Sometimes, much earlier, and without warning.
At my best, I cannot get home before 5:50 PM, so packaged deliveries, as a rule, always wait at least 24 hours before I can get them. This is even when the leasing office doesn't simply sit on them for a day for no reason other than to let them age like a fine wine or cheese.
And, on top of this, Erica has suggested we stop someplace on the way home to grab food. Erica outranks shiny new gadgets on my list of Things That Are Important, so I am certain I won't see this new monitor until tomorrow night.
C'est la vie.
