When a California teenager racks up 14,528 text messages on her dad's phone bill, I pay attention.

Not because I love little girls, but because I like seeing if my math skills are up to par.

Turns out they're better than the reporter's — or possibly the dad's.

You'll have to spot the mathematical error yourself, but suffice to say that 484 text messages per day isn't the number I got, but I'm really not sure what the duration of AT&T's billing cycles are.
