Ride the Camel

"Ride the camel" is what I will now begin calling it when I write Perl, which I've been doing significantly more of than in previous weeks. It all started a week ago last Wednesday, when once again an elite kata I created out of pure Perl Fu saved the day and let everybody go home before the weather got double-plus ungood. (It was at the time only single-plus ungood and some folks were antsy to start their vacations.)

Since then, one problem after another has popped up, each one requiring its own practical reporting extraction, or maybe a pompous regular expression. Either way, Perl is the language by which these things can get done faster and more easily than having to install a compiler.
